Monday night's game between the Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers took a bizarre turn with 5:45 left in the fourth quarter.
Pistons forward Charlie Villanueva tried to set a screen on Cleveland's Ryan Hollins, but Hollins threw his shoulder into Villanueva's chest and the two got tangled up.
They quickly started to shove each other and both were ejected.
After the ejections were announced, Villanueva suddenly flipped out and charged after Hollins. Pistons guard Rodney Stuckey and Detroit's director of security chased the 26-year-old down and restrained him.
Villanueva started to run towards the Cavaliers locker room and appeared to challenge Hollins to a fight.
According to the Detroit Free Press, Villanueva had to be held back by Auburn Hills police.
“I will kill that dude," he reportedly said as he was escorted to his locker room. "I don’t give a (expletive).”
After the game, Villanueva said that he overreacted and Hollins "said some things" that got him upset.
