Tata Docomo launches Blood Helpline Service

Tata Docomo, the GSM brand of Tata Teleservices, today launched a service that will allow its subscribers to seek or provide help for any blood requirement in case of emergency. Blood Helpline Service on SMS service is exclusively for all Tata Docomo customers and aims at giving help or seeking help in case of emergency, Tata Teleservices said in a statement. "This service was launched keeping in mind that blood donation is more often an acute medical emergency and using the SMS gateway to provide this service helps giver and the donor solve their problems instantaneously," Tata Docomo Head VAS Rishi Mohan Malhotra said. Tata Docomo customers can join Bloodline Club by sending an SMS 'JOIN ' to 54321 (toll free). Post sending the SMS, customer will receive a confirmation message. In case of immediate blood requirement subscribers can effectively take advantage of the service by sending an SMS NEED to 54321 charged at Rs 3 per SMS.

Tata DOCOMO, the GSM brand of Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) today rolled out its new 'T24' mobile service in Gujarat, a brand launched in alliance with the retail chain giant Future group. "It is a unique marketing alliance between a retailer group and telecom operator that offers customers free talk time on purchases or recharges made at any of the Future group outlets," Tata DOCOMO COO Gujarat Nipun Sharma said. Future group that operates store chains like Big Bazaar , Food Bazaar and Pantaloons will be offering this new service from 23 of its big stores spread across seven towns in Gujarat including Anand, Vapi, Surat and Bharuch. "This new service, which is on a franchise model, will be offered from all of our 23 large outlets spread across seven towns in Gujarat," Future Group CEO Telecom Mayur Toshniwal said. "We shall open two more retail stores in Bhavnagar and Mehsana in Gujarat over next 6-8 months period," he added. According to Toshniwal, the new service has received encouraging response from its launch in Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) has forged alliances with Virgin mobile , Quippo for passive infrastructure(towers), Japan's NTT DOCOMO for GSM services and Future group for T24.
