Evita of Cincinnati receives six Acclaim nominations

The College Conservatory of Music's November production of Evita has received six Acclaim Award nominations.

Three of the nominations are for the professional designers on the CCM staff. Thomas C. Umfrid is nominated for Set Design, Reba Senske is nominated for Costume Design and Kelly Yurko is nominated for Wig and Makeup Design.

Three CCM students were also nominated in the Acclaim's University/Student Achievement category. The University Performance awards are now a part of the Cincinnati Theatre Awards under a new partnership.

Jesse Kissel is nominated for Music Direction, Samantha Spiro is nominated for Lighting Design, and Sandra Zamora is nominated for Stage Management.

All of the nominations are under consideration for season-wide awards that will be presented on Monday, May 23, 2011 at the Aronoff Center's Jarson- Kaplan Theater.

This season, Acclaims has added the Cincinnati Theater Awards, which will let the public vote for their favorite performers and productions by university theater programs and community theaters.

The Acclaim Awards have been recognizing and celebrating CIncinnati theater since 2006.
