Dirk Nowitzki scored 26 points, Jason Terry had all of his 19 in the final 11 minutes, and Dallas held LeBron James scoreless in the first half to end host Miami's 12-game winning streak with a 98-96 victory Monday.
It was the Mavericks' 14th straight regular-season victory over the Heat, and Dallas had been the most recent team to defeat Miami.
The Mavericks have snapped six opponent winning streaks of at least five games this season.
Pacers 94, Hornets 93: Mike Dunleavy won it for Indiana with a tip-in at the buzzer after visiting Charlotte had taken the lead on a jumper by David West with 3.9 seconds left. Danny Granger's long shot rattled around the rim, and Dunleavy tipped it in. Jazz 101, Cavaliers 90: C.J. Miles scored 22 points and Paul Millsap and Raja Bell added 19 apiece at Cleveland, moving Jazz coach Jerry Sloan into a tie with Pat Riley for the third-most wins in NBA history, 1,210. Up next are Lenny Wilkens (1,332) and Don Nelson (1,335).
Spurs 118, Suns 110: Tim Duncan had 20 points and 15 rebounds, and host San Antonio beat undermanned Phoenix for its ninth win in a row. ... The Suns were waiting for acquisitions Vince Carter, Marcin Gortat and Mickael Pietrus, who were dealt from Orlando on Sunday. Hawks 91, Magic 81: Al Horford scored 24 points and host Atlanta rolled over Dwight Howard and reconstructed Orlando, which hasn't had time to practice since acquiring Gilbert Arenas, Jason Richardson and Hedo Turkoglu in trades Sunday with Washington and Phoenix.
Clippers 113, Timberwolves 90: Eric Gordon scored a season-high 36 points, and Blake Griffin added 22 points and 10 rebounds for host Los Angeles. Trail Blazers 106, Bucks 80: LaMarcus Aldridge had 29 points and a career-high 19 rebounds for host Portland. Wizards 108, Bobcats 75: Short-handed Washington limited visiting Charlotte to one field goal in the third quarter and snapped a seven-game losing streak. ... Nick Young scored 21 points for the Wizards.
