WWE TLC Results (12/19)

Cody Rhodes comes out all smartly dressed to dress down Houston, Texas. He says that Houston is the main place in the US where there is a disease called IJS - irritable jowel syndrome (God knows). Rhodes explains this as jiggly skin that dangles off peoples necks like they're some kinda rooster's! (lol). As Cody continues to diss Houston as the "fattest town in the US", Christmassy music hits and out come a couple of Sleigh-Bella's and erm, Show-Claus? Father Big-mas? (it's Big Show dressed as Santa Claus lol). Santa hands out gifts to the audience, as do the Bella's and then Cody and Big Show argue in the ring. Rhodes disses Show about how ridiculous he is and Show says that Cody needs to chill out. Cody then describes Big Show as a "vanilla Shrek." Show answers by suggesting that Cody's jealous of the fact that Show's in movies. There's an altercation and eventually Big Show strips Cody out of his suit and down to his underwear, just like Big Show in Knucklehead (In Stores Now! lol).

Backstage we watch Husky Harris and Wade Barrett walk the halls and Barrett tells Harris to keep his guard up. Around the blind-side of a door comes a steel chair right into the face of Husky Harris. Cena comes out with a big smile on his face and says "that's everybody" to Wade and it seems that Cena/Barrett tonight is one-on-one. CM Punk makes an entrance to swap places with Matt Striker. Striker leaves, Punk takes over and we're just about ready for the main event.

Wade Barrett vs. John Cena

Chairs match

John Cena is greeted with 'Let's Go Cena' / 'Cena Sucks' chants as Wade Barrett tries to get to the chairs early and eventually he does. Wade swings three times for Cena's head at ringside before running into the ring, then out again to grab a chair and then back in the ring to duel it out with Barrett as both men now carry chairs. They swing for each other and the chairs clash so that both men drop their weapons on the impact. Soon they're tug-o-warring for a single chair before Barrett gets the upper hand and he looks to put Cena away with a nicely executed pump-handle slam. Barrett gets a Two-count before dominating Cena to ringside with his bare-knuckle experience. Barrett then exits the ring, clears some chairs out the way and then launch Cena shoulder-first into the steel steps. Barrett measures Cena with a chair and just about misses with a shot, but then just as Cena crawls up the ramp, Barrett hunts him down and smashes him on the back. Barrett goes back down to the ring and he brings the bottom part of the stairs up toward the foot of the ramp. He bashes Cena with another chair before returning to the stairs to stand them up, but then as Barrett goes back to Cena, Cena gets the upper hand and soon he back-body-drops Wade Barrett right on the steel grate. Cena then exits to the back and brings out a comfy looking wheely desk-chair. He sits Barrett on it, wakes him up by throwing water in his face and slapping him and wheels him full-speed down the ramp and into the flat panel of the stairs. The fans cheer, but soon tides turn and Wade Barrett locks a chair around the neck of his opponent before sending him smacking into the ring-post. Cena's had neck problems before and Barrett then decides to keep this as his primary target. He decimates Cena with a chair before getting Cena in the middle of the ring and literally sitting on a chair with the bottom bar of the chair pressing on the neck of John Cena. The WWE Universe is chanting Cena's name though and he powers out to throw Wade off the chair. Cena then gets up to begin his run toward the Five-Knuckle Shuffle, but Barrett stops him early, throwing a chair into his face upon the second shoulder block. Barrett's then in control and soon Cena finds himself locked up, tied between the second and top ropes and he has nowhere to go as Barrett lays into him with hard chair shots and Cena yells out in pain. Barrett is confident, but then Cena kicks at Wade and gets back into the match and gets out of the ropes, but again, after a little momentum, Barrett drops Cena with a Black-Hole Slam. Barrett scrambles for the cover, but only gets Two as this match continues. Cena often gets a moment of a turn, but Barrett remains on top. Cena's laid out in the ring and Barrett exits to get himself another chair. He takes the chair to the middle turnbuckle before leaping off with the chair in a side-slamming position, but John Cena moves out of the way as all the impact goes to Barrett's arm. Both men are down, but when Cena's up, he has a chair and he clobber's it into the back of Wade Barrett and what an impact that was! Cena has a smile on his face as he looks toward the WWE Universe and he then goes middle turnbuckle himself to leap off and Fame-Asser the chair right onto the back of Wade Barrett's head. The leader of Nexus is out of it, but Cena's not done. He exits the ring and brings in six chairs, which he sets up in the middle of the ring and justice is served as Cena administers a hell of an Attitude Adjustment and Barrett crashes through the chairs as Cena picks up the One, Two, Three.
Winner: John Cena!

After the match Wade Barrett is crawling up the ramp and John Cena follows to smash him with a chair one more time. CM Punk says Cena's won the match, "it's over", but King suggests that Cena doesn't want Barrett leaving here by his own will. At the underside of the titantron we see Cena set up an apparently heavy pallet right on top of Barrett and then Cena unhinges a line of steel chairs which are positioned up high, next to the titantron and then we watch about twenty-five chairs come crashing down onto Wade Barrett under that pallet. Oh my, well done Cena! TLC fades out.
